Everyone with long hair knows it: split ends, the split ends that make the hair look broken and dull. Read here how to prevent split ends and how to combat them in an emergency.
Our hair is exposed to so many stresses in everyday life. Extensive sunbathing in combination with salt water, blow-drying, straightening or curling can stress the hair. Another cause of split ends is when the hair does not get enough moisture and care, is exposed to a lot of friction but also when the hair has not been cut for a long time. So-called hair tip fluids can help in the fight against split ends.
How does a hair tip fluid work?
A fluid forms a protective layer around your damaged hair and seals it. This prevents split ends from spreading. Many fluids contain ingredients such as keratin. The protective layer created by the fluid protects the hair from further drying out due to blow-drying heat or other harmful environmental influences. Hair-tip fluids also usually contain other nourishing ingredients. With their moisturising effect, hair-tip fluids are also ideal after a lot of summer sun or after styling with a straightening iron.
Hair Tip Fluids...
- ...contain nourishing ingredients that make hair split ends invisible.
- ...seal the tips and prevent new split ends.
Who should use a hair tip fluid?
A hair tip fluid should therefore be used by anyone with damaged or dry tips, as well as anyone who often exposes their hair to stress.
How is a fluid applied?
In damp hair: A hair tip fluid is most often used after shampooing, in damp hair. A small amount is rubbed into the hands and then worked into the towel-dried ends. The lengths and the hairline are left out so that the hair is not weighed down.
To refresh: To give the hair new bounce one or two days after shampooing, you can knead a small portion of hair tip fluid into dry hair. For even more volume, style your hair upside down. Oils and light textures are best used to refresh hair, creams are less suitable.
As a hair saviour: If you need to do it quickly, for example if your hair is statically charged, a small amount of hair tip fluid will also help. Put the product on a comb and carefully tame the hair.
In general, "less is more" also applies here. If you use too much hairspray, your hair may stick together or have a greasy shine.
