Although I am blessed with a rather uncomplicated hair type, since I have been spicing up my hair with a balayage once a year, I have noticed that my hair is literally crying out for more care and moisture. Colouring has changed the texture of my hair and it feels a little duller and drier than before. Lucky for me, I'm right at the source. 

Naturally, I was thrilled to be able to test the new OLAPLEX treatment and pamper my hair, which had been damaged by colouring and straightening, with intensive moisture. The timing of the test was a lucky coincidence, because in addition to the recent balayage, my hair was really stressed by the Spanish sun during the summer holidays. So it's high time to send my hair on an (OLAPLEX) holiday too! Because what woman doesn't want silky soft, shiny and healthy hair?

I applied the mask twice in the first week of testing and otherwise used my usual shampoo and conditioner (not from OLAPLEX). From the second week onwards, I used OLAPLEX N°8 regularly once a week. I have to say: I have actually noticed a difference! My hair texture looks less brittle and my hair has regained some of its shine, which has been lost since colouring. However, I notice the effect of the mask most when I run my fingers through my hair. What used to resemble a bundle of straw rather than a dreamy mane now feels a lot smoother. 

However, I personally have not noticed any increase in volume or fullness in my hair. I can definitely recommend OLAPLEX N°8 if you want to give your dry, damaged or coloured hair extra moisture and lack shine.
